MN3D Design Ltd. was created to offer off site, remote, mechanical design, 3D CAD Modelling, 2D Drawgins and 3D printing services.
With my 40 plus experience working primarily with High Tech companies I can offer a variety of design services and 3D CAD model your end components, assemblies and final products to your specification. Create 2D detailed drawings for use in manufacturing individual components of your product or device and offer 3D printing of individual components as part of your prototyping activities.
Work History
My experience has included working for high tech electronic companies such as computers and computer related products, mobile phones, automotive and motor sport electronic devices, battery packs for both commercial and defense, micro cameras and proximity sensors used in mobile phones, rugged video display units, medical devices, and other electronic related products.
My responsibilities have included taking new product concepts through to design, development and engineering, prototyping, documentation and into production. Projects have included the design and development of tools for the test, development and evaluation of sensor products. Electronic enclosures for high tech F1 electronic products including high speed inverters used in Fe racing cars. 2U 19” rack mount enclosure for solid state storage devices used in data centers. Rugged video display units. electro/mechanical enclosures for main frame computer systems, rugged handheld computers to desktop computers, and peripheral products including disk drives. Mobile phone handsets and cameras used in mobile phones. Engine control units and Multi-Media Mobile (Smart Radios) for automobiles.
3D CAD experience: SolidWorks (since 2008). Other 3D CAD used has included Solid Edge, Unigraphics NX, Inventor, Pro/Engineer and other 3D modeling software.
Manufacturing processes used: plastic injection moldings, zinc, aluminum and magnesium die castings, precision machining, and sheet metal fabrications, and the utilization of Rapid Prototyping and Rapid Tooling techniques, including the use of 3D printers.
